GeekGoesChic – A Fashion Technology Blog

Hi! I’m Kasia Gola, and fashion technology is my thing.

I’m a fashion tech expert, trend watcher, and business & marketing strategist with a strong focus on the future of fashion. On GeekGoesChic, I explore emerging technologies such as:

The Story Behind GeekGoesChic and My Experience

I started GeekGoesChic in 2011 as a university student—it began as a hobby, driven by curiosity about how tech and fashion could come together.

At the time, I worked as a freelance photographer and as a project manager at K2, one of Poland’s leading digital agencies. There, I developed web applications and graphic designs for multiple Fortune 1000 clients. I also created business models for startup concepts within the agency.

Later, I co-founded Flowbox, where we developed Luna, a visual programming language, and Flowbox FX, a visual effects tool based on Luna.

In 2015, I decided to focus fully on GeekGoesChic, in 2017 I joined AGH University of Kraków and Łazarski University to teach about virtual communities and fashion tech. In 2020 I joined WEARFITS where I implement virtual try ons for fashion and footwear.

GGC Initiatives: Hackathons, Meetups & Vlogs

Through GGC Fash&Tech, I host a series of meetups exploring the intersection of fashion and digital innovation.

I also organize GGC LAB—a hackathon where fashion meets tech to tackle challenges not just in fashion, but also in sectors like health and telecom.

On YouTube, I share insights into the future of fashion and discuss new trends and tools shaping our industry.

From time to time, you’ll find me at events like Teen Vogue Fashion University or London Fashion Week, exploring them from a fashion tech perspective. I also speak at conferences across Poland and Europe focused on fashion, innovation, and technology.
